  YEAR   DESCRIPTION

c. 2000 bc

-Middle Kingdom Headrest

-This does not have a provenance, but looks strikingly similar to the headrest I am researching.

c. 1900 bc

-This 3-piece headrest measures 9 inches in length and 8.5 in height.

-This is similar to my headrest in that it has 3 pieces, but the wood looks admittedly different.

c. 1333 bc

-King Tut Headrest

-This ivory piece is more elaborate and made specifically for the royal tomb of King Tut. Such an extavagant piece out-does the plain, wooden headrest and even some of the alabaster pieces that are common of the headrests in general.
